Cookie Policy

Cookies are small records stored by your browser and sent to the relevant website. Local storage stays in the browser until cleared or expired by the browser. We use both for the purposes below. Similar storage may be used by providers when you sign in, use a protected form, or pay.

MyTrial Inc. operates MyTrial Academy, formerly FreeGCP. Some existing storage names still contain FreeGCP so previously saved choices and referrals remain compatible.

Referral Attribution Cookies: When you allow this purpose, an Academy referral click and subsequent signup or certification can be linked to the referring member. Declining this purpose does not affect course access.

Google Analytics cookie expiry and server-side event retention are separate settings. The browser identifiers can last up to 180 days without renewal on each visit; actual duration is subject to browser limits. Termly decides when to ask again for this browser. You can withdraw at any time.

Clerk: Provides sign-in and session security. Authentication state, account identifiers, and technical information are processed for that service. See Clerk's privacy notice.

Google Analytics: Receives page and engagement events, device categories, traffic sources, and approximate location, only after you accept analytics in the consent banner. For signed-in Academy users, our servers send account-linked learning and purchase outcomes only while an affirmative account analytics choice is active. When you are signed in, the choice you make in the banner is also recorded against your account when that write succeeds. This includes whether the FreeGCP welcome message is displayed and which training links are selected. Advertising storage, Google signals, and ad personalization remain off. Google Identity Services: Google One Tap may use the g_state cookie for sign-out and prompt state; supported browsers manage the identity prompt through FedCM. Google profile details are shared for sign-in only after you approve the prompt. The prompt is part of signing in: it appears for visitors who are signed out and does not depend on the consent banner, and dismissing it tells Google not to show it again for a while. The regular sign-in option remains available either way.

Stripe: Processes payments and uses browser and device information to operate checkout and prevent fraud. Storage depends on the checkout flow. See Stripe's Cookie Policy; Academy does not store full payment-card details.

Cloudflare Turnstile: Helps protect forms against abuse. It processes technical request and browser signals to distinguish legitimate traffic. This security check is separate from optional analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Vercel: Web Analytics and Speed Insights provide cookieless, aggregated page-use and performance measurement. These flows follow the Analytics choice in Consent Preferences. According to Vercel, its analytics identifiers expire daily and are not used to reconstruct browsing across days; Speed Insights measures Core Web Vitals. See the Web Analytics and Speed Insights notices. Vercel also processes service-generated information to operate, secure and improve its platform, as explained in its privacy notice. Our Vercel team has optional AI model training turned off.

Providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Our Privacy Policy explains international processing and how to request more information. Provider storage can vary by feature, browser, and provider update; this page describes purposes rather than claiming a fixed cookie count.

The consent banner appears to every visitor, in every location, before any optional cookie is set. Choose whether to accept optional cookies there, or open Consent Preferences to decide category by category. Essential storage cannot be disabled because it supports the service you request.

Your choice applies across www.mytrial.com and Academy, and is recorded by our consent tool Termly for this browser. When you are signed in, the same choice is written to your Academy account and controls account-linked server analytics. Account email preferences are separate. Clearing browser storage, changing browsers, or using a private window makes the banner appear again.

When Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is set, optional analytics and referral storage remain off and the Google sign-in prompt stays hidden, whatever the banner records. Withdrawing consent stops future optional collection and triggers best-effort removal of accessible analytics, referral, and Google sign-in cookies. It does not automatically erase information already lawfully processed or storage controlled by another domain.

You may also delete or block storage using your browser settings. Blocking essential storage can prevent sign-in or checkout. Nothing in this Cookie Policy overrides privacy rights or consumer protections that apply to you.

Our Privacy Policy explains access, correction, deletion, objection, portability, and other rights that may apply to you, including the process for authorized agents and complaints to regulators.

Academy is intended for people aged 16 or older, with parental permission where required by our Terms. Contact us if you believe a child below the permitted age has provided personal information.
