The protocol requires liver biopsies at three timepoints

The protocol requires percutaneous liver biopsies at screening, Week 24, and Week 52. Your site is a community cardiology practice. You do not have an interventional radiologist. You do not have ultrasound-guided biopsy capability. You do not have a recovery area equipped for post-biopsy monitoring.

This is not a red flag. This is a red floodlight.

But not every limitation is this obvious. Some barriers announce themselves in bold print on the first page of the schedule of assessments. Others hide in a single line buried in an appendix--a required CLIA-waived laboratory certification your site does not hold, a PET/CT scan your nearest imaging center cannot perform with the protocol-specified radiotracer, a participant population that requires a diagnosis your practice simply does not see. The operational review you completed in the previous lesson made the protocol's demands visible. Now you must evaluate those demands against your site's actual capabilities and sort the results into categories that drive different decisions.
